Division 30 South needs you to help out at the Korean American Festival this weekend! There will be random tasks for you to help out with which will be determined there.

Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training

HEY KEY CLUBBERS!

We have an event coming up THIS SATURDAY! There will be a CERT Training held by the city of Cerritos.

CERT stands for Community Emergency Response Team and helps to educate people on preparing for disasters and teaching them skills that they may utilize in times of disastrous events.

 

Who: YOU!

Where: City of Cerritos Sheriff's Station

When: Saturday, October 1st from 12:30PM-3:00PM(PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME!!!)

What: Volunteers will pretend to be disaster victims and will be used to help for demonstration during the CERT Training. Volunteers will be set up in the Cerritos City Hall lobby area. 

 

Volunteers must arrive at 12:30 at the Cerritos Sheriff Station to get makeup on (to look like you're hurt or in danger)and the exercise will end around 3:00!

 

*PLEASE wear or bring clothing that you will not mind getting dirty or bloodied (that includes socks and shoes).*

Want to learn more about what Key Club is & meet people from all over?

 

Division 30 South as well as the rest of Region 3 Key Club invites Whitney Key Clubbers to the 7th monthly DCM: Region Training Conference  where Key Clubbers will be able to learn more about what Key Club is, learn about club positions, participate in a service project, and MUCH more! 

 

 

HIGHLY suggested for new members who just joined and OLD members as well!

 

Important Information

Who: All of you SUNny Key Clubbers! 

What: October DCM | Region 3 Region Training Conference 

Where: Rancho Alamitos High School  (11351 Dale St, Garden Grove, CA 92841)

When: SATURDAY, October 8th from 11:00AM to 5:00PM

Why: To spend time/bond with members from all of Region 3 as well as get to participate in a service project and meet new members from all over!

Pacific Coast Shock Waves XC Meet

Hello SUNNY Key Clubbers!

 

Love watching cross country meets? Love working with kids?

Want to get practical exposure in the health and fitness field?

 

Then come volunteer at Pacific Coast Shock

Waves 1st XC Meet! 

 

HERE ARE THE TIME CHANGES (feel free to switch your shifts but we really need volunteers for shift 1)


Shift 1: 6:30AM - 9:00AM(can come at 7 but 6:30 is preferred)

Shift 2: 9:00AM-11:30AM

Shift 3: 11:30AM-2:00PM

 

SIGN UPS CLOSE THURSDAYby 9PM!

When: OCTOBER 9th (SUNDAY) @ 6:30AM-2PM (3 shifts) 

25 MINUTES from Whitney

Where: Peck Park (560 N. Western Avenue San Pedro, CA 90732)

What: This is a great opportunity for students who are interested in the health field to get practical exposure by working with youth athletes and you will be able to work alongside aspiring athletes! When you get there, make sure to sign in with Mrs. Bryson!

SIGN-UPS CLOSE ON SEPTEMBER 30th! 

 

**Wear comfortable clothes & tennis shoes! There will be a lot of walking & standing.

Additional areas of service include:

1. working in the concession stand for all shifts (2 volunteers per shift for this task)

2. in the parking lot to collect fees and managing priority parking lot

3. 5 volunteers will be working with the sub bantam (5-7 year olds). They will need water breaks, stretches, bathroom supervision, and someone to help them get to their events on time.

The AYSO 54 Cerritos Banner Day

Love volunteering? Love spending time with children? Then I have the perfect event for you! 

 

The AYSO 54 Cerritos Banner Day Coordinator has reached out to us Key Clubbers asking for volunteers at their annual banner day, where soccer teams all over Cerritos come together for a day filled with lots of festivities, food, and much more!

 

If you attend, volunteers will be provided with a free lunch courtesy of the AYSO 54 Cerritos Board!

 

What: Volunteers will be helping out by handing out food, handing out awards and such, and maintaining jumpers.

When: Saturday, October 15, 2016 | 8:00am - 4:00 pm

            *please keep in mind that this is on the same day as the Keep Artesia Beautiful Event | Shalom Project

Where: Cerritos Regional Park (19700 Bloomfield Ave, Cerritos, CA 90703) * exact location TBA :-)
