LAWTTON TEST

Kiwanis Advisor

A well known and well respected substitute teacher, Mrs. Jensen has been a part of the Whitney Family for many years, and her main project as the Kiwanis Advisor for Whitney Key Club is running the annual Operation Christmas. Though some think that she is strict, it's only because there's almost no other person who cares as much as she does.

JAMES GIBSON

Honorary Club Advisor

A well known and well respected SIA, James is constantly going around the school campus helping out students and greeting them with his signature "Hey". His singing abilities is beyond comprehension, but his kindness is even more incomprehensible.

What Key Club means to me

Key Club is a culmination of all my favorite things: service, fundraising, spirit, and more! Having been in Key Club for almost 4 years, I can definitely attest to the inclusive, family-like atmosphere and endless amounts of unforgettable memories and friendships made through Key Club. Without a doubt, the lessons I’ve learned, people I’ve met, and the laughs I’ve shared will stay with me beyond high school.

About me

I am a Capricorn and I enjoy eating *good* oatmeal (with strawberries), going on trips to literally anywhere, staying active, meeting new people, and listening to music. Hit me up if you ever have any music recommendations - I’m open to all genres!

What Key Club means to me:

Key Club is my second family, the group of people who always support me! Key Club has made me a stronger, more confident individual and has shaped my outlook on the world. Through it, I’ve been able to spend more time with our community and give back to it in return for all that it has given me.

About me

I love to read science fiction and sing Carnatic music! You can always find me with a book!

What Key Club means to me:

From the opportunities to the people, the environment of the club is unlike anything else. The club gave me the opportunity to help the people around me while also meeting new people from all around the community. After joining the club, it proved that it is way more than volunteering and as a result, I cannot wait to continue serving alongside the passionate Whitney Key Clubbers!

About me

I love playing the game of basketball and hanging out with my friends. Beyond that, I'm absolutely terrified of roller coasters even though I force myself to go on Silver Bullet every time at Knotts. Finally, I love math and I wish to pursue a future in the business and financial field.

What Key Club means to me

When I first joined Key Club, I thought it would be just a service club where I would be able to gain service hours throughout my 4 years of high school. However, once I joined, I realized it was much more than doing service and gaining a plentiful amount of hours. Key Club has became such an amazing family to me where I have been able to meet new people, gain lifelong friends, and gain so many skills, and I wouldn't trade any of my Key Club experiences for the world!

About me

Besides Key Club, you can often see me listening to music, playing sports, and meeting new people! Also, since the coronavirus has been dying down, I have continued to follow my passion of traveling and going to new places with friends and family members!

What Key Club means to me

I've always loved serving my community, but Key Club opened me up to new opportunities and new relationships, and I fell in love with the organization and its purpose early on. I am proud to say that Key Club has been the most memorable and rewarding part of my high school experience. Being a member for the past 4 years, I can say that Key Club has my whole heart and I hope to make the best of my last year here with Whitney Key Club. <3

About me

When you see me, I am likely shorter than you think–just barely 5'0. I of course LOVE to volunteer and socialize with my fellow Key Clubbers, but outside of Key Club you can probably find me listening to music, watching YouTube or Netflix, doodling, or going shopping! :D
