From the Home Club, to the Division, to the Region, to the District, to International, see how the organization is structured!

THE HOME CLUB

Of all of the classifications there are in Key Club, the home club is generally the smallest when it comes to numbers (the amount of people in a home club is generally smaller than the amount of people in a division, which will be covered later). Whitney High School Key Club is among the very large amounts of home clubs that exists within Key Club. Home clubs are then categorized by a certain amount (around 10-16 clubs) into Divisions.

THE DIVISION

At the very start there is the home club, and following that is the division. A division is made up of multiple home clubs, and there are many different divisions. While home schools are named off of the school's name followed by "Key Club", divisions are named using "D" followed by a number, and then a cardinal direction (N,S,E,W). There are many division events that you can attend. All DCMs are technically division events, and the Disneyland Half Marathon is one of the many events that the Division as a whole is offered.

THE REGION

After the division comes the region. A region is consisted of multiple divisions, and in the case of the region we are in, there are 7 divisions: D4W, D4N, D4S, D30S, D30N, D41S, D41N. There are many regions that make up many divisions, and regions are named with a "Region" followed by a number. There are region events that are held occassionally, like RTC, Beach Boomba, and Conclave, where you can meet people from the 7 divisions listed above.

THE DISTRICT

After the region comes the district. The district is an area that covers, for our case, 3 states: California, Nevada, and Hawaii hence the CNH Key Club that you may have seen or heard of somewhere. CNH is District 3, and there are 75 divisions in this district, with over 45,000 Key Clubbers. An annual event that happens is DCON, also known as District Convention, where Key Clubbers from all three states gather to learn, bond, and grow. Districts are named similarly to regions.

INTERNATIONAL

At the end, there is Key Club International. All home clubs eventually leads to one large and international ohana that is the organization we call Key Club. From a home club to a division to a region to a district to international, we are all Key Clubbers, but no volunteer is alike another. Many have used a puzzle piece to describe the people in this organization: all pieces are required to complete the picture, but no two pieces are the same. There is one annual international event known as ICON, or International Convention.
